- Adults love ice cream cones<\/span><\/li>\n
- \u00a0Wiesbadners love afternoon coffee and cake <\/span><\/li>\n
- Younger generations are quick to give up seats to the elderly <\/span><\/li>\n
- Couples hold hands (young and old)<\/span><\/li>\n
- There is a soup for every season (pumpkin\u00a0is my favorite)<\/li>\n
- Coffee is served with a cup and saucer<\/span><\/li>\n
- Eggs often have feathers attached to shell<\/span><\/li>\n
- An Apotheke is the equivalent to a candy store to middle-aged women (myself included)<\/li>\n
- It\u2019s frowned upon to put feet up on public transit<\/span><\/li>\n
- Cigarette vending machines are on every corner<\/span><\/li>\n
- Wine by the glass is inexpensive \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Soda and water are expensive \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- German salads are THE best<\/li>\n
- Flammkuchen<\/a> is delicious <\/span><\/li>\n
- Organized walks often end with beer and homemade cake<\/li>\n
- People wear wrist watches<\/span><\/li>\n
- Table service is never rushed <\/span><\/li>\n
- Riesling rules (I\u2019m searching for a good German red – anyone?)<\/span><\/li>\n
- Credit cards take a backseat to cash <\/span><\/li>\n
- Kids in single digits take public transportation, alone<\/span><\/li>\n
- Church bells chime on the hour<\/span><\/li>\n
- Stores are closed on Sundays<\/span><\/li>\n
- Restaurants (and a sprinkling of bakeries) are open on Sundays<\/span><\/li>\n
- And last, but certainly not least\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n
- Sugar cubes exist<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
